Reminisce the classic

Not everyday do we encounter vintage campervans along the roads. Campervan events and shows make this moving. When you begin to set your eyes on it, it gives that fun impression that probably comes from its cornerless structure and colour. And you’d probably start to wonder if it has traveled to all the attractions in Australia (considering the age). In another view it amazingly grew more in the  past years, eventually developing another name in the industry. Somehow classic campervans have proven that it is truly one of the best way to explore point to point destinations.

The classic campervans populated into a variety of cool durable campervan vehicles. I’m glad that campervan vehicles made it until today with the hippie appearance and the convenience that it could offer whilst away. I came across the VW camper van.

According to The VW Campervan, this was the VW first camper van, which was adapted from the VW bus (known as the Samba) – which itself was adapted from the VW panel van. The campers were fitted out by Westfalia, a coachwork company who worked in partnership with VW for many years. There were a huge number of configurations of the furniture, and other conversions too. The campers had the same air-cooled engines as the panel vans and 6-volt electrics.

Looking at the features of the young campervan generation it now makes traveling a hundred times more convenient. Power steering, heating, air conditioning, toilet, shower, hot and cold water, fridge gas stove and other conveniences can all come in one. What a better way of traveling.
